Different types of floors

In terms of cleaning, different types of wooden floor require a different approach. It is important to use the right method and products to get the best results. Oiled floors should be cleaned with a natural soap in combination with a cotton mop. A microfibre mop will strip too much natural soap from the wooden floor. If you notice too much of a soap film has built up, rub off the residue with a LOW speed machine and a white pad or use commercial soap. For very stubborn soiling, you can strip the floor using an intensive cleaner and re-nourish it using a paste or oil. A wooden floor treated with varnish is easier to maintain, meaning you can use standard cleaning products. Work ergonomically to reduce the strain on your body

Place the handle to nose height
Hold the handle by the ball at the top, so your elbow stays in a neutral position
Walk forward in one straight line, moving as close to the mop as possible
Return with a zigzag motion, moving close to the mop. That way, there's no need to bend your back as much, and you can work in a nice upright position.
Do not make angles greater than 45°, and do not mop past your left foot if you are right-handed to spare your back
